COMPOSITION

It is a liquid organo-magnesium compound that is fully soluble in fuel.

PROPERTIES

It prevents corrosion caused by deposits containing vanadium and sodium salts. It prevents the fouling of burners. It eliminates corrosion caused by sulfuric acid in economizers, air heaters, and flues.

Depending on system and fuel issues, an average of 0.5–1 kg of OPTIMA 504 is added to the fuel tank before fuel is drawn, for every 5 tons of fuel.

It raises the melting points of low-melting-point compounds containing sodium and vanadium. It transforms hard and sticky deposits into a dry, powdery state that can be easily removed. It ensures stable superheater temperatures. It reduces high-temperature corrosion. It stabilizes combustion chamber pressure. Frequent adjustments to boiler settings are not required. It reduces the frequency of system shutdowns required for maintenance and cleaning of the superheaters.

It prevents sulfuric acid corrosion caused by temperature drops on heat transfer surfaces. It extends the service life of air heaters and economizers.
